Explosion Proof Vibrating Horn Model 31X vibrating horns are constructed for safe use in hazardous environments. They are enclosed in heavy-duty copper-free cast aluminum housings tapped for 3/4-inch conduit. Model 31X is a corrosion resistant vibrating horn with a stainless steel diaphragm. The 31X is available in 120VAC and the optional 240VAC voltage, and features an internal volume control. A five minute duty cycle applies to this model. This explosion proof horn is intended for use in potentially explosive atmospheres. Applications for this product are found in the oil and gas, and petrochemical industries, where high decibel vibrating horn signals are required. Two mounting brackets are provided on either side of the unit for wall mounting. The housing is tapped for 3/4" conduit to allow for field wiring installation. For use in dusty, hazardous atmospheres where a distinctive, urgent signal is required for timing, scheduling, paging and general alarm applications. Typical applications include use in mines, petroleum plants, gas plants, grain elevators, flour mills, paper mills, textile plants and tankers. as well as many others.
