Hazardous Location horn produces sound by electro-mechanical vibration of a stainless steel diaphragm. The horn mechanism with diaphragm is attached to the grille. The water- and dust-tight backbox is ideal for indoor or outdoor use.The Model 350WBX features a die-cast zinc housing with a corrosion- resistant polyurethane finish. The rugged outer grille resists vandalism without reducing sound output. The 350WBX is fused and utilizes a terminal block wiring connection.Vibrating horns are excellent for general alarm, start/dismissal, coded paging and process control signaling in areas where their sound output exceeds ambient noise levels. Compact size and a variety of installation options make them ideal for industrial use. This hazardous location rated/certified horn is intended for use in potentially electrically classified hazardous atmospheres. Applications for this product are found in the oil and gas, and petrochemical industries, where moderately high decibel vibrating horn signals are required.Two mounting brackets are provided on either side of the unit for wall mounting. The housing is tapped on three sides for 3/4" (2) and 1/2" (1) to allow for field wiring installation.For use in hazardous atmospheres where a distinctive, urgent signal is required for timing, scheduling, paging and general alarm applications. Typical applications include use in mines, petroleum plants, gas plants, grain elevators, flour mills, paper mills, textile plants and tankers, as well as many others. UL and cUL Listed for Class I, Division 2, Groups A,B,C,D; Class II,Division 2, Groups F & G; Class III, UL Listed for outdoor locations, NEMA Type 4X, 100dBA output at 10 feet. 120VAC as standard--select optional 240 VAC when ordering if required.
