Explosion Proof Vibrating Horn Model 889D-AW is constructed of a heavy duty casting that has a heat flowed epoxy finish, Red in color, and is corrosion resistant. This explosion proof horn is intended for use in potentially explosive atmospheres. Applications for this product are found in the oil and gas, coal, energy, and petrochemical industries, where audible warning horn signals are required. Two mounting tabs are provided on either side of the unit for wall mounting. The housing is tapped on one side for 3/4" (19mm) conduit to allow for field wiring installation. For use in dusty, hazardous atmospheres where a distinctive, urgent signal is required for fire alarm, and general alarm applications. Typical applications include use in mines, petroleum plants, gas plants, grain elevators, flour mills, paper mills, textile plants and tankers as well as many others. UL listed for Class 1, Div. 1 and 2, Groups B, C and D; Class II, Div. 1 and 2, Groups E, F and G; Class III locations UL Listed for outdoor locations. Diode polarized, Low current drain, Not recommended for temperatures below 25°F (-3.9°C), Power connection wires factory embedded in sealing compound. ,  97dBA output at 10 feet. 24 Volt DC.
